Real House of Elliot Bride Bailey Josephine Victorian Wedding Boots

Even during a pandemic love does not stop. At the beginning of May this year Bride to be Bailey e-mailed me to say that she had fallen in love with our ‘Josephine‘ Victorian Bridal Boots and that she and her fiancee’ Jaime had decided to elope to Lake Placid in upstate New York. Bailey ordered the very last pair in stock in her size and they made their way across the pond in anticipation of being worn on her special day. Bailey and Jaime did not even know the timings yet but once it was safe to do so they travelled to Lake Placid Lodge with only two close friends and took their vows, live-streaming their celebration to family and friends. We are so honoured to have been part of their wedding day which took place even in the most challenging of circumstances. Bailey’s wedding look was vintage bridal perfection and photographer Nicole Nero captured her special day in the most magical of ways. Thank you so much to both Bailey and Jaime for sharing their wedding story with us!

Wedding Wishes & Love, Nicole xo

How did you meet your husband and how did he propose?

We met at a theater conference about 7 years ago.  Immediately he wanted to get to know me and all I wanted was to beat him at the competition next year. So we hit it off and eventually decided to move to New York together. Fast forward and a year ago he proposed on top of Machu Picchu in Peru. He couldn’t have chosen a better place or setting to drop to one knee.

Where did you get married and who did you invite?

We eloped to Lake Placid, New York with our best friends in tow. A very small and intimate wedding and set right on the lake.

What was the main inspiration for your wedding?

Since we decide to elope everything was kept simple. I still got to keep my colours or periwinkle blue and yellow sunflowers!

Tell us about your wedding look

I knew from the get go that I wanted a lace dress and I found the perfect one with a double layer of lace work for the train.

What made you choose a pair of House of Elliot boots for your wedding day?

My mother and I found the boots via a google search and knew right away that they were ‘the shoes’. It was a happy coincidence that they matched so well with my dress.
